ISRAEL AND JORDAN
Day 1 – 5 May 2026
Depart Dublin/Belfast for an onward flight to Amman. +2 hours on arrival. Meet your guide and overnight in Amman.
Day 2 - 6 May 2026
As we arrive in Amman the Old & New Testament unfold. From the stories of Esau to Jesus ministry around Galilee there are many Biblical sites to visit. The city of Amman is wel known for the story of David and Uriah the Hittite, when David deliberately had Uriah, his faithful servant kiled. 45 minutes from Amman is Yabuk (Jabboc) where God changed Jacobs name to Israel in Genesis 32. Overnight in Amman.
Day 3 - 7 May 2026
Jordan is mentioned many times in the Old Testament. Today we wil tour from Amman to Petra. On route we visit Mount Nebo, where God showed Moses the promised Land and town of Madaba. Overnight in Petra
Day 4- 8 May 2026
Breakfast at hotel. This morning we visit Petra in al its glory as the sun rises over The Red Rose City. Petra (Sela) is located close to Mt Hor where Moses brother Aaron died. Other scriptures linked to Petra are Isaiah 34 v 5-6, Jeremiah 49 16-18 and Ezekiel 25 v 13 20 Day 5- 9 May 2026 Depart Petra to travel south towards Aqaba. On route we visit the Wadi Rum where the movie Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. Despite the fame of the movie, it was also a significant route from the Biblical journey of the children of Israel.Overnight in Aqaba
Day 6 - 10 May 2026
Depart Jordan and transfer to Israel at the tip of the Red Sea. Journey north towards the Dead Sea. On route visit Timna National Park. Here we find a ful size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle. It easily explains the Old Testament accounts and brings the act of worship to life from ancient times. Overnight at Dead Sea with the opportunity of an early evening swim.
Day 7 - 11 May 2026
After breakfast we depart the Dead Sea region for Masada, the ancient fortress and one of Herod’s most famous palaces. We then head north towards Galilee stopping at the River Jordan at Qsar el Yahud. Overnight in Galilee region.
Day 8 - 12 May 2026
Breakfast at hotel.This morning, we set off on a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee. If you read the gospels, you wil read many times that Jesus got into a boat and crossed to the other side. It was a means of transport there and Jesus’ met some of His disciples on these very shores. He also spoke to huge multitudes from the boat. Our journey takes us to Capernaum, the town of Jesus. He taught from the synagogue, performed miracles and delivered His ‘Bread of Life’ sermon. It is the place where Simon Peter’s mother-in-law lived and where He healed the paralytic. Many rejected His teachings there, but many received them and witnessed that He was the Son of God and the true Messiah. Read about Capernaum al the gospels Matthew 4 & 8; Mark 1; Luke 4; John 4 is just a few. Tabgha is our next stop. Read Mark 6 v 30-46 and recolect the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. A little church stands at the site of this miracle with a floor mosaic of the loaves and fishes. Holy sites were forgotten after the Persian invasion of 614AD. The old byzantine church wasn’t rediscovered until 1889. Jesus also appeared here after the Resurrection in John 21 v 1-24). Your day ends on the Mount of Beatitudes.Overlooking the Sea of Galilee, it is easy to imagine Jesus on the mountain teaching the multitudes and offering a series of blessings (Matthew 5). A church stands on the hil commemorating the event. It is a perfect spot to just sit and recal the events of those days. As you look across the four mile plain of Gennesaret and consider the words of Mark Ch 5 & 6. Free time for lunch. in the evening from Korazim to Capernaum. It’s a leisurely walk and it would folow the route Jesus took in Biblical times as told in the book of Matthew 11. Our journey does not cover many miles today by coach as we focus on the northwest side of Galilee where Jesus spent a huge part of His ministry.Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 - 13 May 2026
Breakfast at hotel. We journey west today towards the Mediterranean Sea. We visit Caesarea Maritima, named in honour of Caesar Augustus. It was home of Cornelius the first Gentile convert of Acts 10 and Philip the Evangalist Acts 8 v 40. Paul left to visit Tarsus from this seaport. From here we visit Mt Carmel. A fantastic viewpoint and the area where Elijah slew the prophets of Baal. Views across the Jezreel Valey show us many significant geographical points in Biblical history. After a lunch stop and bypassing Cana, we arrive in the city of Nazareth. A much bigger town than it was in Jesus’ time, In the middle of town we visit a vi lage that depicts life in Jesus’ time. It grew around a wine press found a number of years ago that would have been the main or only one in Nazareth then. Learn about the parable meaning, sit inside a synagogue and understand the references Jesus’s made as He simplified the gospel to those He met along the way. Return to Tiberias.
Day 10 - 14 May 2026
This morning we depart Galilee region after visiting Magdala, the newly excavated fishing vilage on the shores of Galilee. The whole vi lage was only discovered in 2009, and artifacts nd were discovered from the 2 temple. From here we start our journey to Jerusalem.As the evening sun sets, you wil catch your first glimpse of Jerusalem, from Mt. Scopus before arriving at your hotel for your next 3 nights.
Day 11- 15 May 2026
Breakfast at hotel. This morning, drive to Mt. of Olives. Enjoy the panoramic view over Old and New Jerusalem. We wil walk the Palm Sunday Walk down towards the Garden of Gethsemane and enjoy a brief time in the garden. As we walk along the way, we can reflect on Jesus last few days before He was betrayed by Juda and handed to the Romans at Gethsemane John 18.He left the disciples and went to pray. In this area, He is also recorded in the book of Luke as weeping as He entered Jerusalem. Matthew 23 v 39 and Luke 19 v 28-48. Jesus had already shed quiet tears in Bethany over the death of Lazarus just 6 days before the Passover. He fulfiled the prophecy of the book of Zechariah 9 v 9 when He traveled to Jerusalem on a donkey. The tomb of Absolom and Zechariah sit on the Kidron Valey at the foot at the foot of the Mt. of Olives. The Mt. of Olives is also where Jesus ascended into Heaven after His Resurrection. We wil stop at the House of Caiphas, John 19 v 12 26.
Day 12 - 16 May 2026
Breakfast at hotel. Our last stop is the Garden Tomb. The outside of the tomb says, ‘He is not here, He is risen’. As we remember the last days of Jesus life on earth, this area proves the Bible true in every sense of the words written years ago. Your day ends with a visit and time to enjoy a service at the Garden Tomb as you look towards Gordon’s Calvary John 20 v 16 – 30. John 20 v 41- 42 are two of the most important verses in scripture that conclude this area being where Jesus was crucified and laid in the tomb. This evening enjoy a walking tour of the Old City including Pool of Bethesda, Western Wal (wailing wal). Many do not know the history of the wal, but it dates back to the 2 temple and underneath it’s wals are the foundations of both the 1 and 2 nd st nd temple. Abraham came to Mount Moriah to offer Isaac as a sacrifice and God provided the lamb, a substitute for his son, just to test Abraham’s faith. Today, we visit it as we also walk the streets where Jesus walked to the cross. Sound & Light Show on Wals of Davids Citadel. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 13 - 17 May 2026
Free time to enjoy your hotel. Depart hotel around 1pm for your homeward flight arriving in Dublin around 10.30pm.You wil have one stop on route
