Galilee - Go Tell It On The Mountain
A Journey Through Galilee, Jerusalem & Bethlehem

Day 1
Depart Dublin for onward flight to Tel Aviv. Depending on flight times, light bites or dinner will be served and overnight at hotel.
Day 2
This morning depart the hotel after breakfast to the Mount of Beatitudes. Here you will have your first glimpse of the Sea of Galilee. Today you will spend time in the area of the Sea of Galilee, enjoying a boat ride, a visit to Capernaum and the newly found city of Magdella.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3
This morning we will head north towards Banias, the source of the River Jordan and also known as Caesarea Phlippi. It sits at the base of Mount Hermon and is one of the largest springs feeding the River Jordan. As well as this area being known for many temples it also is recorded as the area of the transfiguration.
Time permitting, we will also visit a local olive factory – a very significant plant in the Bible and used in any different ways. From Genesis with the olive branch to the parables of the new testament – this local plant is mentioned many times. Dinner and overnight at hotel
Day 4
Today enjoy a free day in Galilee to relax at the shores – take a walk to the mountains or visit the natural springs. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 5
Today after breakfast we depart Galilee for Jerusalem. On route you will travel to Nazareth to the village depicting life in Jesus’ times. This place is a firm favourite with groups as it gives a great insight into life in Jesus times. After lunch and travelling via Cana we reach Mount Carmel – from this mountain top where Elijah slew the prophets of Ball we get a great view across the Valley of Armageddon to the Horns of Hittin and the as far as Jerusalem.
Your day finishes on the coast at Caesarea Maritim – this great port city built by Herod around 22 BC. Its excavations with full size theatre and proof of Pontius Pilates existence are all worth a visit. Arrive in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 6
This morning after breakfast we head out of the town to Bethlehem –known as City of David due to his birthplace and where he was anointed King. We will return to the outskirts of the Old city beside the Dung Gate and visit the most recent excavations of the city of David and Hezekiah’s tunnels.
Tonight, after dinner we will return to the city to watch the Sound & Light Show on the Walls of David’s Citadel.
Day 7
This morning we will visit Yad Vashem the memorial to the Jewish Holocaust. After lunch we will visit the Garden Tomb and Gordon’s Calvary.
Free time to relax at the hotel and enjoy your evening meal.
Day 8
Depart hotel after early breakfast for the airport and onward journey home.
